Hangouts is a project dedicated to easing the stress introverts often feel when making plans with friends. The creators noticed that people frequently agree to gatherings out of politeness, only to later realize that no one actually wanted to attend but didn’t want to be the one to cancel. Hangouts aims to eliminate these awkward situations. After an event is created, the app allows participants to anonymously request a cancellation. If the majority feels the same, the event is automatically canceled, sparing everyone the discomfort of backing out—because no one will ever know who initiated the cancellation!
